            Description

              PLEASE NOTE that we have a line up at the door so we have turned off pre-purchase tickets. You are very welcome to join the door ticket line but please be patient with our volunteers. This is an artist + volunteer run event and we had no idea that you would all be so excited to support us! Thank you for your patience.

              The inaugural Adelaide Ceramics Market launches at Woodville Town Hall on Kaurna Country this November. We present to you more than 110 South Australian potters, artists, makers, sculptors, craftspeople, jewellers - all working with ceramics. This event is a vibrant celebration of clay, craft, and community. And it's the first of its kind here in Adelaide!

              Adelaide Ceramics Market is the ultimate event for ceramics lovers. You'll find an incredible selection of work from the humble cup right through to large statement pieces and sculptural objects. Chat to the makers to find out about their processes, commission custom work, and find your next teacher or mentor.

              You tutor, Connie Augoustinos comes with a decade of teaching experience, most notably as a Short Course Tutor at Australia’s leading centre for craft + design, JamFactory.

                    Ashlee works from her studio on Kaurna Yarta in Prospect, South Australia. Ashlee’s works are held in numerous private collections, as well as commercial settings such as the restaurants at Hentley Farm and Magill Estate. Ashlee graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Ceramics) from the University of South Australia in 2016. She then went on to complete the JamFactory’s Associate Training Program in 2018 where she stayed on as a studio tenant and short course teacher. Ashlee was appointed as Production Manager of the JamFactory Ceramics Studio from 2020-2021. During her time at JamFactory Ashlee designed multiple products for the jam product range, and pioneered a short course in conjunction with ACH Group specifically for students with various neurological disorders. Since 2021, Ashlee has worked closely with Ku Arts to facilitate workshops in remote communities across the state with a focus on creative and professional development opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists. This work follows on from previous engagements with Ernabella Arts in the APY Lands from 2016-2019. Ashlee also currently works as the Ceramics Studio Manager at Iwiri Arts in Port Adelaide.

                    Ash acknowledges the Kaurna People as the traditional custodians of the land she lives + works on, and acknowledges their deep connection to country. Sovereignty was never ceded.
