Everything You Need to Know About the Hahndorf Christmas Village 2025
The Hahndorf Christmas Village returns from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 December 2025, transforming Main Street into a festive celebration for three full days. Here’s your complete guide to everything happening across the village.
Christmas Lights and Main Street Decorations
Main Street will be lit from end to end with a full Christmas display. Our entire village will be covered in Christmas lights 6pm until late each evening, creating the perfect setting for an evening walk through the village. Local residents from ‘Reimagine Christmas – Hahndorf’ have also been decorating the village with beautiful Christmas decorations and displays.
Gathered Christmas Design Market at Alec Johnston Park
Gathered has relocated & expanded their Christmas Design Market to Alec Johnston Park. The market will feature designers, artisans, food and festive stalls.
Opening Hours:
Friday: 5pm to 10pm
Saturday: 3pm to 10pm
Sunday: 3pm to 10pm
Cost: $3 entry at the gate, kids under 12 free. Part proceeds will be donated to Adelaide Hills Dementia.
Hahndorf Christmas Market
The Hahndorf Academy lawns will host creative workshops, market stands, a DJ, entertainment, games and activities for families. It will be a lively and interactive space for visitors of all ages. Local food & drinks will be served by Comida & Ambleside Distillers.
Santa’s Hub at Comida
Santa will be outside Comida each day from 3pm to 6pm for photos and meet and greets. A great opportunity for families to capture a Christmas memory. Santa’s Hub will also feature a beautiful green space for kids to enjoy the outdoors, while you try some of Comida’s beautiful paella & pizza!
Gift Wrapping Station
Located between Comida and The Paintbox, the Lions Assistance Dogs team will be offering gift wrapping for a gold coin donation on all three days.
Roaming Musicians and Street Performers
From 3pm each day, performers and musicians will bring Christmas cheer to Main Street. You will be amazed by some of the incredible performances the team at Bamboozled will be bringing to Hahndorf!
Late Night Trade
Businesses will be open early and trading late all weekend. Visitors can explore extended hours, festive menus and unique retail offerings, perfect for Christmas shopping and supporting local traders.
Hahndorf Town Band and Live Music
The Hahndorf Town Band and various musicians will perform Christmas music throughout the village across all three days, adding to the atmosphere.
Reindeer Trail
Kids can begin the Reindeer Trail at Bracegirdle’s where they can collect a printed trail sheet. After finding all eight reindeer along Main Street, they can submit their completed sheet at the red mailbox located outside of Otto’s Bakery for a chance to win a prize.
Transportation
We strongly encourage you to use public transport for the Hahndorf Christmas Village 3. In previous years, we have had over 40,000 visitors explore Hahndorf across the 3 days. Please visit Adelaide Metro to see the timetables.
